Seventh Scale Degree Violin Scales in E Major

Let's play our E major scale again. (playing guitar) One two F sharp three G sharp A natural half step five six. Now let's talk about our seventh scale degree. Our seventh scale degree is a D sharp. It's a high third finger on the A string; let's take a look. (playing violin) Between sixth and D sharp, seven is a whole step because there is no notes in between, sixth and seventh in a major is always a whole step.
