Ingredients for Cooking Rice Pilaf

Hi! I'm Louis Ortiz on behalf of Expert Village and today I'm going to show you a basic rice pilaf cooking technique. So this is a technique from scratch receipt that comes out really nice and fluffy and its just really pleasing on the pallet as well. Again just is the basic preparation now if I was going to make a bigger batch I would use more rice and more salt obviously but I'm going to use a half batch so I got a half cup of white basmati rice here which is just a basic white rice. Okay and this is just the raw rice obviously that you know you probably just buy out of the box. Then I got one full cup of chicken stock here. So if we where doing a full cup of rice which is usually enough for two people anyway we would use 2 cups of stock but instead I just got one cup of chicken stock and a half of cup of rice. I got some dice carrots here and some dice onions as well. So we would step through these techniques here in just a second. We got our basic stuff ready to go all the ingredients and we would come right back.
