Let's play our G minor scale again. First scale degree is open G, second scale degree A natural, third B flat, fourth C natural. (playing violin) Now let's talk about our fifth scale degree which is D natural. It's your fourth finger on the open G string, fourth finger on the G string. (playing) Now between fourth scale degrees C natural and D natural is a whole step.
