Violin Scales in Eb (Flat) Major: Written on Staff Paper

Now we have learned how to play and construct our E flat major scale on the violin, let's look at on the staff paper. Come on. You can see you have the key signature of B flat, E flat, A flat. So let's take a look. Here is E flat it has number 1 under it cause it is the 1st scale degree. F has a 2 under it representing scale degree number 2 obviously. Now the 3rd is a G. Now if you can see, we have a V connecting the 3 and 4; between 3 and 4 and 7 and 8 are half steps. So this V represents a half step. 4, A flat, 5, B flat, scale degree number 6, it is a C and then D and E, 7 and 8 again has a V representing a half step.
