Neck Releasing Yoga Poses
Neck release. Neck release you want to begin standing with your feet hip width apart, several inches apart with the outer edges of your feet lined up with each other. Rolling the shoulders open, unlocking the knees, inhaling we’ll take the left arm up and allowing the head to rest over the right ear. Lifting up through the heart of the spine is long then letting the head relax over to the left using the weight of your arm to stretch the right side of the neck. There’s no need to pull any time you’re stretching the neck, you just allow the weight of that top arm to help stretch out the right side. And then with an inhale, smoothly bring the head back up to center, take the left arm up, out to the side and down and then repeating on the other side, lifting the right arm, resting your head on the left ear, and lengthening up through the spine, let the head relax over to the right. Again, the arms are passive, just adding the weight of the top arm and then with an inhale bringing the arm up, out and down. And you can do that once or twice on each side.
