"Hi, I'm Brenda F. Dixon, a licensed clinical social worker here in Nashville, Tennessee and we're here with Expert Village today. These tips that I have mentioned to you today are, they're there to help you, they're there to help you on a daily basis to manage this anger that's in the workplace. And again it's anger that is external, people around you, or it is the anger that you actually have that's going on inside. So one of the things that I like to remind you to do is just listen to these over and over and over, just repeatedly listen to them so that you can begin to ingrain what is going on. The defusing is a real good technique. If you practice it you can actually stand up, look in the mirror, and practice what I have said. You can practice these questions; a what question, a when question, a how question, a how much question. Never why, never ask why. But whenever you're defusing someone, you ask these questions, not all of them but one or two and the person begins to just remove themselves from the anger. Now you have to use wisdom and you have to be respectful. So I want you to be very respectful and not get into someone's face as if you've got the answers, that's not what this is about. This is not you have the answers. I just want you to know that you can manage this readily by using some of these techniques that we've talked about today and recognizing some of these people that I've mentioned today in the workplace. Managing difficult people, managing anger in the workplace, you can do it. I know you can and I speak right now maintain it a total good balance in your life and you'll be able to do this readily."
