I will now break apart the soloing in by, four bar phrases so that you can see how to fit your solo in lines and with the different chords that we have and how they move together. Let's look at the music. In the first four bars we moved from the one chord to the four chord. The difference in the notes between these is here we have the third which is G and here we have the flat third which is G flat. This is a difference which should be brought out so you can show the difference between the one and the four chord. So, it shows how the progression changes. Here's an example of a solo playing for the first four measures. You can hear how I played the G flat in the four and then switched back to the G natural in the one chord making that a difference between the solo.
