The History of Blues Music

What is a blues? A blues is a chord progression which is originated from early African American music in the 1900's. It's a form of a motional expression from the slaves. It involved through word songs, ring shouts. Different types of music that early African American slaves use to create and sing during the work on the plantation. This started the type of music known as the blues. The basic chord changes of the blues are as follows. To understand this, one must have an understanding of music in general. We have the major 1 chord 4 chord 1 1 and the first four bars. We have the major 4 chord 4 chord 1 1 in the second bars. We have a major 5 chord 4 and 1 1 and the last four bars. All together this fits a 12 bar form this is known as the blues form.
