How to Choose a Massage Therapist

Hi! My name is Tanya for Expert Village. I am the massage therapist at Intuition Salon and Spa. If you like information about us please go to www.intuitionsalonandspa.com. The first thing that you will need to know about finding massage therapists is that they need to have a license. Not all states require a license but most states have them available. Also you want to make sure they are insured. So when you go to your massage therapist, they should have a card or bigger card that has their picture and their MA number to be a five digit number. Also you want them to have their insurance card available for you to see if needed. So that way, when you go to go fill out your intake form, which is very important, you want to make sure that all massage therapists have you fill out a health intake form; that way, they know what they can work on and what they cannot work on; how they should work on you. There are some things that they have to be careful with. You can find out about your massage therapist at this web site; put in their name or their MA number and they will have it all available for you. And if you have any other questions about your massage therapist or about their place of business go to the better business bureau and they will be able to give you more information about the salon or the spa or wherever it is that they work. Also hugely important is: make sure that they have you fill out the health intake form. There are a lot of things on here that you may not realize but they are very important; and whether or not the massage therapist can work on you, and where they can work on you, how they work on you. So they make sure they do not injure you as well as hurt themselves.
