On behalf of Expert Village my name is Liz Muller from Liz's Hair Design in Hollywood, Florida and today I'm going to teach you how to relax color treated hair. I went ahead and neutralized her hair with a shampoo. Notice it is a little green from the relaxer but I'm checking to make sure that I did not leave any relaxer in there and that it is well cleaned. Now the next step is to condition the hair. Her hair you have to see what is like or feel it and if you were doing it right now you would see that it is dry. Her hair is dry cause it is color treated so this kind of hair I would do a deep treatment after a relaxer. You can do different kind of treatments and conditioners when it comes to a relaxed hair. But if the hair is dry, do use something with a moisture. A moisturizing mask if the hair is soft and maybe the relaxer left the hair very pores and the hair is not really doing a lot of it is kind of stretching out which means it is like spaghetti when it is over done. That means that the hair would need proteins after the relaxer. So we are going to do moisture.
