On behalf of Expert Village my name is Liz Muller from Liz's Hair Design in Hollywood, Florida and today I'm going to teach you how to relax color treated hair. As I was saying before I'm going to go ahead and rinse out the hair. I want you to open it in there really well, dividing that hair, opening in sections cause relaxer is very thick. Lift up the clients hair and make sure you rinse it out for at least 5 or 6 minutes before you apply your neutralizing shampoo. So then you are going to apply it but you want to lift up that hair and picking it up in the middle like this cause she has a lot of it. Some people that have fine hair you may not have to do this cause there hair is fine. That is okay. But with this thick hair, you want to be safe and you want to go ahead and leave it nice and clean without relaxer. Go ahead and proceed to this rinsing out some of the base too. You have the base over here going like this to the hair and making sure you lift up the back to. Because you might have got relaxer in there so you are going to get relaxer on those ends to so pick up like this.
