Teaching Kids How to Use Wood Blocks to Tap Out Whole Note Rhythms

We are going to be using wooden blocks to demonstrate different rhythmic techniques. So everybody let’s do four measures of whole notes together. One two three four, one two three four, one two three four, one two three four, one two three four and now Andrew can you show me four measures of half notes on yours? One two. three four; one two three four; one two three four; one two three four; one two three four. Samantha, can you show me four measures of quarter notes? One two three and four, one two three four. Now what we are going to do in a quarter notes we have to do a one two three four.
