Hi! I’m Calab Labarda with Tae Kwon Do Limited and on behalf of expertvillage.com. Check in our website at tkdarizona.com. So today we’re going to talk about nutrition. I’ve been doing martial arts for about 13 years now and I found that working out with a healthy diet and having a good nutritional diet is very important. I try to stay away from a lot of fast foods, a lot of grease, a lot of junk food because I notice if I take that it starts to really wear me down and slow me down and it really decreases my performance, so I try to give it all I have got. So I would like to eat a lot of protein, a lot of hard chicken, a lot of vegetables, so I found that is really good for me and I also take in what is called Relive, this is called ProVantage, this is what I take. It’s just a basic protein, but it has a little bit extra and has some more vitamins, it has a little bit creatinine in it which helps my muscle and mass and it helps me keep my stamina and performance. And, I would also like to share with you some stuff on beverages, which is very important. I try to stay away from artificial flavors such as Capri Sun, they’re just artificial drinks and there is lot of calories in it and they will add weight to you, slow you down especially if you are trying to do aerial gymnastic movements. Pepsi and diet, they are really bad for you, stay away from these, there are too many carbs and with the sugar, it will lift you up and then you just drop tremendously. So the best thing that you can really take is water, this is your best friend right here. So you drink lots of water during the daytime and you will find your performance going up your energy and you will feel a lot healthier, good things are also like green tea or just other real natural drinks and natural flavors and that should also keep you up on top of your game. So also try to be staying healthy, stay away from soda, just stick on the water and just stay on your vegetables and lots of chicken and tuna just stuff like that with a lot of protein, always look at the back of what you are going to eat first, the canned stuff, look at the nutritional facts and that should help you out a lot.
