Swing Beats on Bass & Snare Drums: Variation 12

PETER VAN DYCK: One, two, three, four. This is interesting because in the first part of this exercise, the bass drum plays two strokes and the second stroke lines up with the ride cymbal. Let me show you what I'm talking about. One, two, three, four. And then when we play the bass drum on beat three and the end of three, the first stroke has the ride cymbal in the bass drum hitting together and the second stroke in the bass drum is all by itself. I'll demonstrate that along with the first part. One, two, three, four.
