Swing Beats on Bass & Snare Drums: Variation 11

Here I'll demonstrate playing the bass drum on the and of beat one, beat two, beat three, as well as the and of three, and the and of beat four, over the swing ride pattern. Sounds like a lot, but I'll take you through it. One, two, three, four. Okay, let's break this down by first looking at the feet and how they coordinate, where they line up and where they don't. So beat two is the only place where the high hat and bass drum play together, because as we know, the high hat we'll be playing on beat two and four. One, two, three, four. One, two, three, four. Alright, now let's take a look at the right hand on the ride cymbal along with the bass drum.
