Hi! I’m Calab Labarda with Tae Kwon Do Limited on behalf of expertvillage.com. This is our website at tkdarizona.com. What you’re going to watch right now is called bunker sparring. The focus pad in the left hand is for blocking and the purple bunker in the right is for hitting. Now the point areas go anything on the head, that is including the helmet. No face is a point. So all around the head, no face. Now the other points are underneath both arms, left and right arm, so your rib area and all of your chest area, nothing below the belt, it has to be belt and up, no back, arms or legs, those are not points. So this right here is just about quickness, and about being first, learning how to move, how to watch another opponent. It’s just real fun and good exercises. This next match is an actual real sparring match that two boys are sparring. Now the point of areas are the same, head, right… as you just saw is worth one point and kicks are worth two points, oh I mean I’m sorry hand shots are worth one point, kicks are worth two. Now, anything with a headgear that is anything is a point, all around the body is a point, so that would be under each arm and the chest, nothing below the belt or back is also a point. And this is now the more advanced version of bunker sparring, that you can use your hands and legs… gets you to really learn how to work with another person, learn how to hit them and it is just a lot of fun.
