We are at Sun Hoa Long Clinic, located in Chinatown, New York City. We are going to be doing some acupressure points that are equivalent to doing acupuncture with needles. We are going to use finger pressure instead of needles to bring about pain relief. We are going to do a common point for lower back pain. Now basically this point is called UB23, and in order to find this point you basically have to kind of feel a rib at the end of the rib, and then you basically just put the two thumbs together, and you can actually just massage it around in circular motion, or this way. You could ask the patient also to lean back a little bit, apply little more pressure, feel a little more relief into that point. You could also make loose fists, both hands, and rub on that area to bring a little wider area relief to the lower back.
