Making Rosette Designs With Icing For Decorating Cakes
Hi, I’m Linda Leon with Expert Village.com, and today we are going to be talking about cake decorating. Our theme is how to make rosettes, so come on over to my table, and I will show you how. I am going to be working with a parchment bag today, so let’s get our parchment bag. This is our parchment bag. I have the rose tip already applied, and in order to make the rosette, you will need the rose tip. So we are going to load our bag. Try to get that icing all the way down in there. You smooth the bag down as much as you can to try to get the air bubbles out because when you are decorating and you have a lot of air bubbles, it can cause a few problems. Once you get your icing all the way to the tip of the bag, then you just pump a little out just to make sure that it is coming through your tip properly like I have here. The pattern that you use for your rosette is something like a zigzag. So you start off with a little pressure zigzag and come out. Then note the use of the spinner, zigzag and come out. Zigzag and come out. Zigzag and come out. Zigzag and come out. Those are basically rosettes. You see these little decorations a lot of times on cakes and they are very simple to make. I’ll do one more and on another segment, we will show you how to put a rose together. Zigzag and come out. And there is your rosette.
