How to Add Wine to Shrimp for Scampi Recipe

Hi, this is Rich Buccola here in New York City. Today on behalf of Expert Village I?m going to show you how to make shrimp scampi. Alright don't forget I forgot this is hardware we're gonna need a cork screw unless you buy that cheap wine that has it. Or some of the wines that are actually now are that cheap like this is putting screw top. But here just roll your lemon roll your lemon so the juices flow you're only gonna use of a half full lemon. If you listen to Rachel Ray she says squeeze with the lemon up put your hand over it will stop the seeds from going in. It's a little tip from Rachel Ray thank you Rach. So give it a nice good squeeze half of lemon let me go. The recipe is about a half cup to a cup. My grandmother would definitely say use the cup and then a little bit more, but we are gonna get our flame up higher to medium flame. We're going to add our shrimps to this putting our shrimps right in there. Make sure you drain them good you don't want to that extra water in there then we add our shrimps to this, some salt and pepper to taste. I?m going to go with a nice punch of salt punch in you know about a hand full just go around a couple of sides with your salt, same thing with your pepper. Try to use fresh pepper I have to get to the supermarket to be able to buy fresh pepper; I've been using this all week. That's it we are gonna get our spatula and just start to turn, this you're gonna see the shrimps the soonest this all comes together and it's gonna be beautiful, shrimp scampi here on Expert Village.
