Materials for a Handmade Christmas Stocking

Hi my name is Jennifer and I have several years of sewing experience. Today what we are going to be doing is a little fun project for the holidays. We are going to be making a hand sewn little quilters holiday stocking. Now before we get started we need to go over some of the materials that we are going to use. First off you want to have a good piece of paper at hand and you also want to have a pencil because we are going to be drawing out our little stocking in just a few moments. Also very important you need bunches of different fabrics and we are going to go over those in one of the next steps of what fabrics to choose and why you need to choose certain fabrics. You also want to have several needles at hand; various types, different types of thread and we will be talking later on about how to choose the colors that you want to go with your stocking. You want to have some spray adhesive. You can get this at any fabric store. Now there are several other things that you also need. You want to have some scissors handy, an iron and ironing board and you may want to have a thimble. Now I’m not going to use one for this project but some people may want to use one. You may also want to have a couple of heavy books on hand to keep our little fabric pieces down. I will show you that in just a moment.
