Cracked Cylinder Diagnosis: Steering Pump

DOUG JENKINS: Hi. I'm Doug. I work with 20 great guys in St. Louis at Doug Jenkins Custom Hot Rods, and we're going to do some work for you today on Expert Village. The next task is to try to get the power-steering pump out of the way. Any brackets that are attached to the heads we're trying to get free here so that we can get the heads off real easy. This old-fashioned style of brackets has the power steering and the air-conditioning sharing bolt holes and bracketry. There's one long stud there that holds the rest of--that last of this bracket on. So he's been struggling with that here. And since our goal at this point is to just get this head off, we're not going to bother with the rest of the power steering at this point.
