Standing Handsprings & Tucks for Beginner Gymnasts
Now, we are going to demonstrate a standing back handspring and a standing back tuck. Okay, the gymnast needs help to learn this skill. Mariah, ready, nice and tall, jump up and over. Good job. Dahlia please...one more back handspring and jump up and over, very nice. Mariah...once the gymnast can do a back handspring standing, then she is going to go into a back tuck, where she jumps up, ready Dahlia, jump up and tuck. Again, she will need a spotter to help learn the skill and up, very nice. Mariah please...and up, nice and tall, use your arms, Mariah, again Mariah please, arms up all the way, ready, swing and jump up, that is it, very good, yes.
