EMIL LAMPRECHT: We're going to talk about under leg throws. Now, as I mentioned in the introduction of body throws clip, this is going to be a little different with balls--than with balls. With balls, your arm has to carry all the way under your leg and then throw. While with clubs, it only needs to come to the side of your leg, and let the swing of the club take care of the rest. Now, there's two ways to do under the legs. You can either do it under the same leg as the side you are throwing from, or the opposite, so you're crossing. With clubs, I find that crossing gives a more interesting visual effect because people watching you can see the club come out from under your leg, whereas it's the same side, they simply see it go past your leg. That choice is up to you. For learning it, you'll need to remember the same things as always. Don't lean over. Bring your leg up to you and the throw down to your leg without moving your body, okay? Once you get this down, same as always, pick up your three clubs, get a pattern, try one, try it on the other side, and if you can, start alternating. You'll kinda find yourself marching. This is a good thing. One thing that you'll find about under the legs with clubs is that it's usually easier to do everies--this level dancing motion with clubs than it is with balls simply because your arm doesn't have to travel as much. Doing it while talking is a little difficult for me, but it's a cool trick, has a lot of possibilities. Once you get it down, try throwing doubles and higher throws and--or even flats instead of single spins. Have fun with it and go play.
