So, if you have a melody like 3-3-3, 3-3-3, 3-5-1-2-3-4-5-4-3-2, 6-7-1, 5-6-5, flat 3, 4, sharp 4, 5, sharp 5, 6, 3, flat 3, 2. So by using this one scale, we can read all the notes on the staff and get them under our fingers rather quickly and it will help us to associate these patterns. So when we go into key like E flat, 1-2-3-4-5-6-7, we can do the same thing, 3-3-3, 3, 3, 3-5-1-2, 3-4-5-4-3-2-1, 2, 4, 2, 4, 2, sharp 4, 5, 1. So, we're taking this simple pattern and we're getting it under our fingers.
