So today we're going to really focus on the key of C Major and we're going to take a look at the melodic lines that we can derive out of this one scale. And we're going to really show you how when you're reading through sheet music, you're really just reading patterns. And we're really going to show you how to read that pattern. And then we're going to show you how, if you even put it in a different key, you're reading the same pattern still. And it will just really help to reiterate what easy what we're doing is. We really want to get a simple process under your fingers. We're going to take a simple melody line and run through a couple keys. And then we're going to play through what looks like an actual fake book tune, where you have chords here, and then you have your melody line. Again, we're not going to go over all these chords today, but I'll give you references so you can go and look these chords up on expert village. All of these are listed in there, and I've personally gone through and done pretty much all these different chords. And you can go through and find them and find all the different information you can, and again, the more you practice this and the more that you do it, the better you'll get, and you can do this same process through any fake book tune. And you'll have the same great results.
