The trick I'm now going to show you is called 5-3-1 in site-swap notation, but is also known as a pattern stack, or high-middle-low. If you've learned three balls and the tricks that I've shown in previous series, you may have already done this trick with balls, which will make doing it with clubs much easier. Also, if you've practiced doing single spin and triple spin patterns with clubs, this will also be very important in learning this trick. The trick is essentially throwing a triple, followed by a single, and then a vamp. If you haven't practiced vamps yet, get used to just doing this with a club and doing it blind as well. It's not very hard at first, but in pattern, because of the speed at which it has to be done, it may be difficult. That's what the trick looks like. Of course you want to start by breaking it down. Practice your triples to warm up. Practice your singles pattern to warm up. Practice your vamp, as I said, and then practice just throwing all three throws and not even worrying about catching it. If you catch the single, great. If you catch the vamp, great. If you can catch the triple, awesome. Don't worry too much at first about continuing the pattern, but just getting the throws in the right places. Most people will find that because they're throwing different height throws every time, they'll tend to lose control and they'll go all over the place. Make sure your first three throws are dead on before trying to continue the pattern. Once you get that down, try it on the other side, and then start adding it up, one or two rotations at a time. Then, eventually, continuous.
Appreciate the tips, Emil. Thanks a lot and Keep it up!
