Hi! This is Brenda, and today we are having fun with our icebreaker games for parties. Now we have our guests all sit in a circle, we give them a piece of paper and pen and in this game they have to write down two truths and a lie about themselves. Now let them think about it for about five minutes and then begin to see what they wrote down. Say for instance that this is my piece of paper. The first says, has been to Hawaii, and second said hates liquorice, and the last says collect stamps; so what I would do, I would ask some of the people in the group to guess which one is the lie about me, and maybe somebody would say has been to Hawaii is a lie. Well no actually that is true; I did go to Hawaii, so they are wrong there; then I would ask other person, perhaps they would say collecting stamps; and they would get that right because I don’t collect stamps. So then I would go to the next person, and they would read their list, and we would all try to guess the lie on their sheet of paper. This takes a few minutes, but it is fun and it gets to know who is in the group.
