Hi! I’m Madison Warner and I’ve been instructing for over 10 years in Michael M. Foley system of Koden Kan Karate, if you’d like to go to our website I would much appreciate it, its h2hctc.com or mellei.com. Today we’re going to learn the front windmill, it starts out from a choke to the front again, you know somebody doesn’t always have to be choking you to do any of these techniques, it can be from many different scenarios. So what you’re going to do this time is you’re going to step across and forward again toward the attacker, you’re going to put your arms straight up in the air, quickly turn, capture their arms and you can either do an elbow to the rib or you can just break the choke hold with a straight arm and you can elbow to the head that way. So what you’re doing with your arm here is capturing their arms and what you’re going to do is make a fist and bring it in tight to your body like this…okay so you’re holding on to their arms that way and then you can just stay in a little stance here and do an elbow to the rib. What that looks like to the person is they choke, you’re going to step across, your arm comes up, you turn quickly and what you’re doing here is bringing your fist like it’s going to go up to the ceiling and that helps keep the attacker staying with you there and then you’re going to do an elbow to the ribs, okay so just bring your arm out, down or out here and you’re going to do an elbow straight back to the bottom, alright that is front windmill.
