Healthy Diets for Rescued Pets

I'm Sylva Kelegian with Expert Village and I'm going to talk to you about the importance of feeding your dog proper food. A little story, when I adopted my first rescue dog, I was feeding her a normal dog food that I thought was fine, a very popular brand which I won't mention only because I don't want to off put the company. But it's a dog food that most dogs can eat fine but my dog had a terrible allergy to it and anything that wasn't natural. I woke up one morning and her face was swollen out like a chow and I had to rush her to the emergency room and we did all kinds of tests and the doctors couldn't find out what was wrong with her and finally I took her to a vet who said what are you feeding her, make sure you put her on an all natural diet. And that's when I switched to, I think it was a Wellness or Natural Balance, it was just all natural, natural food and the allergy went away so watch your dogs when you get them, see what kind of reaction they have to the food that you get. The more natural the food, the better for any dog, quite frankly. But really be aware because dogs can have allergies and reactions and people aren't even aware of it so look at their skin, make sure they're not breaking out in hives. Look at their pallat to make sure they're not swollen. Look at their eyes to see if they're clear and they're not hazed over. Those kinds of things are important to look at to make sure your dog is eating properly and getting what your dog in particular needs. Thank you.
