How to Play Charades
Hi! This is Brenda. Today we are working on our icebreaker games. Now this is a game that children have always loved to play; and you probably remember it is called charades. In this game you bring someone up to the front of the group, and they cannot use any words. They have to just motion for what they are trying to describe to you. If it is a movie, they would like this. If it is a book they would do like this. They would tell how many words. Say they would hold up three fingers for three words. So I am going to give you for instance. It is kind of like a mime, I guess you would say that you just do not make any sounds. So say for example, I am going to do this, that means it is a movie, two words then I would begin and of course, I would not be talking and I will be going…bedtime, dream, sky, star, shooting, fight, battle, war. Star Wars. Good, he got it, Star Wars and there you just continue and it is just lots of fun.
