Wiring for Ceiling Fan Installation

Hi, I'm Mark Sullivan for Expert Village. Today we are going to learn how to install a ceiling fan in your home. So the next thing we are going to need to do is carefully thread the wires through our down rod and through the covers. So take off that we are going to stretch out the wires. We are really not going to need this much wiring. So I think at this point I may just cut these. These are for light kit connection only. So the blue one is for the light and the black and the white ones is for the power for the fan. So we are going to, this is how it is going to look when it is finished. This will be in this position like this. So the next thing we need to do is run our wires through this down rod and up through here. So there we are, we have our 3 wires coming out of the top. So we are going to go ahead and pull those through and then it will eventually look something like this.
