How to Play the Walk Down for Blue Christmas on Guitar

This is Bill Macpherson for Expert Village. Another look that I like to show you in the song is very important. It's a walk down that is done the first verse and the second verse; that same part is played a little bit differently. So let me show you how it's done in this one. (playing guitar) That walk down is pretty easy to do and I'll show you how to do that right now. So now I'm going to show you how to do the walk down. I'll play it from B minor 7. (playing guitar) From the A minor, you are going to go walk down from basically the A. When you do this, you can actually start on the A if you wanted to or you can use the chord itself. I like to use the chord itself and it plays in with the rhythm so you really want to hit these notes with the rhythm that you're playing with your strumming hand. (playing guitar) You can see I accent that first A with the chord. Now if you wanted to do with a note instead of ascending the chord, you accent the A note right here. From there you go right into the F sharp minor, that is how you do the walk down "Blue Christmas".
