Roundhouse Punch in Koden Kan Martial Arts
Hi! I’m Madison Warner and I’ve been instructing for over 10 years in Michael M. Foley system of Koden Kan Karate, if you’d like to see more about us then you can go to our website which is h2hctc.com or www.mellei.com. Today I’m going to teach you roundhouse punch, okay you’re going to get into your kiba dachi stance nice and low, nice and strong and firm and this punch is to go around in obstruction, you want to punch something that’s here but you know something’s in your way, so you’re going to go around it and you’re going to hit with your two knuckles. This strike is designed to go to the temple because you can’t generate as much power with this strike as some other strike because it’s around, so you’re going to bring your hand out a little bit and then back in, it comes out and in and again you have this whole punch mechanism if you want to call it that, you’re going to bring this hand back as this one goes out, okay and that’s a roundhouse punch.
