RYAN LARSON: So now we're going to take a look at our first passage. And we start right here on one. There's our B, right? The middle line. This is the 1 and you can go through any real book tune and do the same analyzation as long as it is in B major. If it's in a different key, you're going to have to search for that. So, you have 1, here's 5, 6, 5, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 3, 4, 3, 3, 1, 1, 2, 1, 3, 5, 4, 6, 3, 5, 7, 2, 5, 1. So, I went through and analyzed this whole tune in like 20 seconds, and all I really did was gauge how far away it was from the starting point, this 1 here. And now, we can play this pattern. 1, 5, 6, 5, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 3, 4, 3, 3, 1, 1, 2, 1, 3, 5, 4, 6, 3, 5, 7, 2, 5, 1. And that's our whole passage, our first passage, as it falls in B major.
