RYAN LARSON: Now we're going to take a visual look at the B major scale. We start here on B. B, C sharp, D sharp, E, F sharp, G sharp, A sharp, B. And for our purposes, we number it one through seven; 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 so we can play our tune here. 3, 3, 3, 3, 3, 3, 3, 5, 1, 2, 3, 2, 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 1, and you can see how--when we're just going through the pattern, it sounds very melodic and we're just using the same pattern. And we'll go through and actually look at sheet music which we will in a minute. You see, what we're actually reading on the sheet music is this pattern and it's laid out on the music as a pattern to make life easier for you and it makes life easier for everybody.
