Piano Fingering & the Musical Alphabet for Basic Piano Chords
Hi! I am Dani Rhodes and you can find me on the web at youtube.com/danirhodes and on behalf of Expertvillage.com I welcome you to show you some basic piano chords. Today we will be going through the alphabet of music to do different piano chords and show you the correct fingering and correct notes to be playing while you do these chords. I will be using terms like Arpeggio, which means dividing up the notes of the chord and playing them separately and I might even say major and minor chords which means, the major chord is the way of playing it normally and minor means it is just the third which you will sing, the second note that you play, what is the third of the chord, is 1,3 and 5 chords and that’s what we will be playing. 1, 3 and 5. And on the left hand, 1, 3 and 5 which means the thumb is always 1, the middle finger is always 3 and then the pinkie is always 5 which of course needs to be 2 and 4. We will learn how to do arpeggios and play them with both hands. They will be using 5 on the left hand and 1 on the thumb, middle is always three and then we adjust 1 on the left, 5 on the pinkie.
