How to Do a Round Off
Hi, I'm Shyra from Excel Rebels in Orlando Lakes, Florida. I'm going to be doing advanced cheer leading on behalf of Expert Village. The next portion I'm going to cover is a round off. A round off is the next skill after you develop a cartwheel. A round off is basically a cartwheel where you bring your feet together at the top position hitting handstand, then you snap your feet back down pulling your chest back up. So in this position you're going to start with your hands up or you can start forward depending on how you're approaching it. If you need to run, you can also run. Your hands are going to go down, just like you're going into a cartwheel. Your first foot kicks up. Your second foot is going to join it at the top and then snap down. This round off can be used in the beginning of each tumbling sequence going into a round off back hand spring, round off tuck, round off full, so it's the first approach to each tumbling sequence. I'm going to demonstrate a round off for you. It's important after your round off to come back up into a rebound so that you're getting your height for your next trick and getting your self even further away from the ground.
