How to Do a Tuck/Eagle Spread
Hi, I'm Shyra from Excel Rebels in Orlando Lakes, Florida. I'm going to be doing advanced cheer leading on behalf of Expert Village. The next jump I'm going to talk about is tuck jump and the eagle spread. These jumps are not as advanced of jumps, but they can be used in routines especially with the younger kids. It's good to start there and then you could move on to the advanced jumps. The first jump can be started in a high V position and it can also be started in a clasp, but I'm going to start in a high V. Your arms are going to cross down at your knees, come back up. Your knees are just going to come into a tuck position, both knees, bringing them up to your chest and they're going to come down. So you're going to start here, your arms cross, just come up here and then down. You can also swing your arms back up to a high V position and then down. It's just a very basic jump. You're going to start knees up, and then down. That's also getting the kids used to the whip motion and bringing your knees and arms up and down at the same time. The next jump is like a toe touch, but it doesn't require such flexibility. Your arms are going to come up to a high V. You're going to cross. Your arms are going to hit another high V and your legs come out. Your body is making an X position. So we're going to start here, your arms cross, you just open and then come down. Arms and legs back together.
