Decide Whether You Will Hand Raise Your Pet Bird

Hi my name is Sarah and I’m coming to you from Petland in Pinborough Pines, Florida today and on behalf of expertvillage.com, I am going to speak with you today about how to buy a pet bird. Another thing to consider when you are looking to buy a bird is whether or not you want a hand raised bird. Generally we do recommend hand raised birds and they tend to be more docile and well socialized with people and thusly, be a lot friendlier. One thing that we do not recommend is that you get a baby bird and handle it yourself. It is generally best to leave the hand raising to the bird breeder and to get a fully weaned bird at a fairly young age. It is important not to do the hand raising yourself because we will very often see aggression problems with these hand-raised birds that continue to live with the owner into adulthood.
