Train a Pet Bird

Hi my name is Sarah and I’m coming to you from Petland in Pinborough Pines, Florida today and on behalf of expertvillage.com, I am going to speak with you today about how to buy a pet bird. One thing to consider that some of the larger parrots do require is quite a bit of training. It’s not like having a puppy and properly training them. You need to be prepared to have a lot of interaction time with your parrot when it is younger to set ways on their behavior. It is very important that everyone in the household understand that once again, limits do need to be set on parrots behavior. Parrots can be very bratty, they can work and try to get their way and they can also be very manipulative. So it is very important that you understand that you can’t just get a parrot and expect it to just do everything it is supposed to naturally. You need to be prepared to properly train them when it comes to biting, when it comes to not destroying your personal property, when it comes to areas of the house that they are and not allowed to have access to. Basically it just comes down to training your parrot like you would a child. You have to set limits for their behavior and make sure that they act accordingly in different social situations.
