Dealing with Stripping for a Lower Back Massage

Welcome back to Expert Village. Previously we were warming up the back. We did across, horizontal friction. We did what I call press and pull and now we are going to start the actual massage technique. What we're going to do now I call stripping. I'm going to do this angle. I like to do it from the back but I want you to see how I push. Stripping can be like pressing out or you are kind of going along the fibers, like you are stripping away at the fibers, kind of like separating them or start in and do it like in little increments to where you are on the lateral sides of the body. This really begins from the twelfth rib to what they call your iliac crest. The beginning of your hip is called the iliac crest, that's the beginning point that goes all the way around. So like I said fro the twelfth rib all the way down, just do stripping. It doesn't matter how many times or how much you do or how much stripping it takes to get to the side of the body. You go by how it feels, just strip away, strip away. If you don't want to point with your thumb, use your knuckles. Try to separate those fibers because that is where he tension lies.
