Tips for Cleaning the Inside of Your Refrigerator
Hi! I am Drew Finn, we are going to talk about how to clean and maintain your refrigerator for Expertvillage.com. Now we are going to clean the inside of the refrigerator, so that is where the real fun begins. So let’s get our gloves on, cleaning agents Clorox water would be fine, a household good detergent cleaner that gets the grease out will be very good. Whatever you do, do not ever mix chlorine and ammonia they can cause a gas, which is poisonous. Okay so what we do is spray, spray over the general areas, I am hitting any spot that is a little dirtier, like we have got some spots and I am just generally over the surfaces, and let it set a few minutes then we will just start. I just spread it out a little bit, I am not trying to clean everything right now, and just make sure the surfaces are completely covered with a cleanser, and then we will scrub it. Okay I have rinsed off the sponge and then we will go for broke on this. This way I get the real cleaning. It has soaked in for a few minutes after scrubbing it down, and now we are getting the grip and grime off. Once I am done with the sponge, as far as that goes you take a paper towel and wipe off the residue. Now one place you do not want to forget are the gaskets, the gaskets are the rubber seal here. It is very important to get those cleaned. A lot of times you will find the gaskets have mold on, that is where 10% Clorox solution will be very good about killing it, also the black growth on it, so you wipe those off. Luckily this one does not have the black, but I want to make sure that we get the whole thing cleaned off so we do not have it growing in the next time I clean it.
