How to Pick up After Your Dog

And welcome back everybody. Hi, I'm Jim Leske, animal trainer and behaviorist for Expert Village. Thanks again to our good friend, Sylva Callega, for helping us out. Now I'm here today to talk to you about picking up after your dog. Nobody likes it; nobody enjoys it. It's not one of your favorite tasks, but it does have to be done. One of the biggest problems I hear or complaints that I hear is people complaining about other dogs' messes being left in their yards and, if you're not a dog person, this, you're going to hear these people complaining a lot. So the best way to get someone that doesn't have pets turned against your pet is not cleaning up after them in their yards. So a couple of very simple ways to do this. Some people just carry around some of these grocery bags, rather than throwing them away in the trash. We can recycle them. Bring a couple of them with you. You can wear one on your hand, one to pick up the poop. It's very clean and simple. Throw it in the first trash can you see. Quick and easy; no muss, no fuss. That's for our take-out crowd. For the rest of us, in your own back yard or property, or even if you're going to be in your neighborhood, we have the infamous Pooper Scooper available at many fine pet stores or department stores near you. It's a very simple task. Scrape. Move right into the trash can. You never have to touch it with your hands. It's quick, simple and easy. I'm Jim Leske for Expert Village and thanks for watching.
