If we always use a threats to train,next time i think dogs wont listen to us if we do not have a threats rite?!!

How to Train a Dog to Shake

I'm Jim Leske, animal trainer for Expert Village and we're working on dog training tips today. This next one is called shake or give me your paw. And it's just a very fun trick and most dogs pick it up very quickly. Paw? Very good boy, and using a toy reward, he did very very very good. Now, in the beginning, just to get to where you want the paw, sometimes you've got to help them out, you're not always going to be that fortunate. So in this case, all I'm doing in the very early stages, he has the toy in his mouth, grab his paw, shake, good boy, very very good. Do it again, shake, good boy, very very very good. Repetition, repetition, repetition, practice, practice, practice, and you see, most dogs really really enjoy this. So it's just a great fun little trick to communicate and work with your dog.
