Another one of my favorite fruits are grapes; green, red, dark purple, beautiful grapes. Succulent and seasonal. So make sure when you get some that they're firm, they're ripe and they're not gushy. Before you serve your grapes, make sure that you give them a good rinse in the sink to get rid of any little bugs or spiders that like to live within them and overview them for problematic ones. This one has a little bruise. I wouldn't serve that to anyone. And make sure that they're firm and pulpy so you can actually hold on to them. That way they're going to last a little bit longer. So you have longevity with your fruit. Now when I serve my grapes, I like to put them in a big bowl and let people help themselves on them or maybe I'd like to add them to a cheese platter. So you want to snip them a little smaller so people aren't walking away with a whole bunch of grapes. That'll also help control the cost and extend the life of your fruit. So I take a scissor, kitchen shears, and I snip them in small bite size little bunchettes. Also if you have children at home, it's great to just have little bunches like this set aside, so they can pick up some and munch on them. It's such a healthy snack. Another trick is to freeze grapes and put them in cocktails. That's kind of fun too. Especially in the hotter months. Grapes. Beautiful, delicious and inexpensive.
