Introduction to Cutting Fruit

Hi, I'm Anne Apra. I'm a caterer here in Los Angeles, I'm here today on behalf of Expert Village to give you some interesting and effective catering tips on a series that I like to call catering 101. Now when you're planning a meal whether you are having dinner at home or at a party for a friends or if you're a caterer like myself, you are going to want to think ahead to what your menu is going to be when you purchase things at the grocery store. You want to think ahead for all of your spices and herbs and your produce, buy them in a timely fashion. Before you begin anything on your preparation time I recommend that you gather all of your items that you are going to be using close at hands. So you don't have to go running for stuff. For example your knifes, cutting boards, seasonings, all of your wonderful produce and spices. I like to also have some little bowls to catch some of the goodies in and I like to have larger bowls for things that are soupy. I like to have all of my spoons, spatulas and other implements that I might be using my tools of trade if you will. Certainly paper towels nearby in case there is a spill nearby so you don't have to go running off I like to call this series catering tips 101. Thank you for joining me.
