Hi! My name is Teri Lynne and I'm here on behalf of Expert Village. In this segment I'm going to be showing you how to do the mime rope. Now with all mime, what you really want to do visualize the object or objects that you are using. So you want to picture a rope, on the ground. You're going to look at it. You're going to decide to pick it up. You're going to go ahead and grab it. Decide what width it is and how heavy it is as you lift it up. Now you want to stand about shoulder width or slightly further apart. Knees slightly bent. Arms bent. You want to picture this rope in between. Now it?s very important to keep the length between the two hands the same all the time. Because if your rope starts shrinking or growing, it doesn't look as realistic. So, I'm going to have it where I'm going to be maybe almost in a tug of war right now. So I'm going to go ahead and grab and pull and grab and pull. Every time I grab it?s a nice click. And I'm going to pull the rope back. And again the distance between these two hands should stay as close to the same as possible. I like to do, as I'm pulling it, a little bit of a leap. A little bit of a raise and down. Then you can pretend it?s a little bit of a struggle. And you've lost your rope. That's how you do a mime rope.
