Tips for Reading a Bass Chart in D

Again, you want to number your D major scale one through seven one, two, three, four, five, six, seven. The important note out of D seven is its seventh note. It has a flatted seven so one, flat seven, six, five, six, flat seven. Or if you play up here one, two, three, four, five, six, the flat seven is right there. Right above the six. So we're going to go through and walk to some Bebop bass in D and we'll do that in just a minute.
