Warming Up for Upper Body Home Exercises

Hello, this is Steven Vargas with Expert Village. In this clip we'll go over a short warm up for the upper body to get the muscles loosened up and for you to get ready for a good workout. First we'll take the right arm, bring it across the body, pull back on the elbow and you'll feel a stretching through the shoulder and through the triceps and you'll hold each stretch for a minimum fifteen seconds. Go ahead switch it up to the other side. Next stretch that follows is you bring one hand up and over the head, pull down on the elbow. You'll feel a nice stretching through the tricep muscle. And again you're holding each stretch fifteen seconds. Then switch it up to the opposite side. Go ahead and relax. Interlock your fingers out in front, push forward separating the shoulder blades; get a good stretching through the back and in through the shoulders. Go ahead release, relax, take your hands back behind you. Pull your shoulders back, push your chest out, open up your shoulders and the chest. Good, go ahead and relax. A little shake of the arms. Take your right arm out in front, extend it, pull back on the fingers, get a good stretching through the forearms. And switch it up to the other side.
