Medicine Ball Sit Up Throw Exercise

Hello my name is Adam Davila. The name of my business is Crossfit Austin. My website is http://www.crossfitaustin.com. This is my assistant Kasey Neworth. Her business name is Gateway Fitness. Her website is http://www.gateway-fitness.com. We’re going to be demonstrating the basic medicine ball exercise called the sit up and throw. Okay Kasey I want you to go ahead and have a seat right here. Extend your legs forward, keep your heel and toes together and I want you to go ahead and receive the ball, take it all the way over behind you, touch the ball on the ground and then return the ball to me. Okay one more time. Sit up and throw is a really great exercise for developing the abdominal muscles. Um, a couple things to take note of when you’re doing the sit up and throw is when you go all the way down you want to make sure that your arms are fully extended over your head and that you touch the ground with the medicine ball and that when you come up you want to make sure that you don’t push the medicine ball as opposed to releasing the medicine ball with your arms fully extended.
